Brother Burger & the Marvellous Brew
It’s a pretty typical type of thing. See if Northside digs it, then bring it to the South. Like Huxtaburger and Mr Burger, Brother Burger is now slinging meat and buns on both sides of the Yarra. The new South Yarra shop was once famed Greco’s Restaurant, where the late night coffee and cake was worth the $18. Now a whole new type of patron arrives, ready for a ridiculous amount of craft beer and maybe a burger, or two. All of their beef burgers are made with 100% South Australian Wagyu and their buns are all baked in house – a pretty good way to get in our good books. They also offer a wide range of Vego and non-beef options, plus a tonne of spiked milkshakes if you’re in the mood for a sweet nightcap. Having eaten the Lot at their Fitzroy shop, the plan was to try something new. I grabbed the Hot Stuff that came on a seeded burger bun with a Wagyu beef patty, double bacon, jalapenos, cheese, pickles, mayo and chilli-jam.
Man, that bun is certainly dwarfing the patty
