Hats off to team Nshry for blessing us with a taste of heaven between a bun!

I am 51 these days ,Being a chef late night eating is like any normal person eating at 7 pm .
I was introduced to Dannys way back in 1976 around 1 am one night and it was a sensational burger . Around 2 years ago my son 14 years old one night around 11 pm after a movie wanted a burger . So I said to him I will take you to a place that is amazing and as I told him the place was packed turning over customers as we waited then ate our burger .
My point is that when you have a place that is consistent with the product and pumps out as many burgers as they do , this becomes a great place it is not top 10 it is without doubt top 2 Burger places in Melbourne because it has consistently pumped out Burgers time and time again day after day year after year it stood the test of time and is a great place to just sit and enjoy . Since I introduced my son it has once more become our hang out late at night after a movie and we travel from Mont Albert to grab a burger at Dannys – Bravo

Garlicbreath ( February 2, 2012 at 10:12 )

I noticed you have missed the other top 2 Burger place , the other side of the Black Spur past Healesville is the Buxton Burger nothing is like it and make sure your hungry because nothing beats it ! once more this has stood the test of time this is the biggest and the best burger going around

Garlicbreath ( February 2, 2012 at 10:21 )

I’ve got some catch-up eating to do!

monkeyboy ( February 2, 2012 at 12:05 )

Looking forward to trying these delicious places out, but you missed my favourite burger place: The Bottom End (So GOOD), do food up until 5am some nights, definitely check it out.

takeitaway ( February 2, 2012 at 15:09 )

Where’s Andrews? You guys are crazy not to have it in your top 10. I’ve had every other burger in your top ten and I drive a hour to get andrews.

Anonymous ( February 2, 2012 at 20:37 )

Andrew’s is waaaaay better than Danny’s. Denny’s is massively overrated.

whatup ( February 4, 2012 at 14:41 )

Why not huxtaburger? smith st collingwood….

O.G ( February 6, 2012 at 01:01 )

Nshry is a worthy winner, ridiculously amazing flavours in that burger. Have to agree with the previous comments re Danny’s, I found that burger frankly unenjoyable.
I’m yet to try Trunk Diner, but it must be pretty outstanding to be edging out Rockpool, needless to say I’m pretty excited to give it a go.

Daryl ( February 6, 2012 at 09:59 )

Also, congrats on getting over Grill’d ! Their burgers ARE SHIIIIIT !

Simon ( February 7, 2012 at 10:28 )

You reckon you provide a comprehensive guide to burgers in Melbourne yet ANDREWS in Albert Park & TAXI CAFE in West Melbourne are left out. Shows how little you know. Won’t be checking here again.

Layton ( February 10, 2012 at 00:11 )

Can’t believe you missed Andrew’s!

Jess ( February 10, 2012 at 00:25 )

this is the worst list of burger’s I’ve ever seen!! to rate this no.1 is a complete joke to establishments that actually make a visibly appealling and delicious burger.
This whole list is a joke!

Mr Burger ( February 10, 2012 at 14:37 )

What about Greasy Joes in St Kilda?

The ‘fat bastard’ should get a mention purely for its ridiculous size!

And for the most people who eat burgers regularly, I doubt they will be going to rockpool any time soon, and if they do. It wouldnt be for a burger.

Burger lover ( February 11, 2012 at 23:00 )

The top 10 melbourne burgers didn’t have:

This website is a full of sh1t

Justin ( February 21, 2012 at 08:02 )

Burger lounge is okay…. however… there is no bacon… in any of the burgers !
Which makes it a shit burger place!

Baconbro! ( March 3, 2012 at 19:05 )
Gadler ( March 6, 2012 at 13:45 )

YOU NEED TO TRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its new, tasty and delicious

Hannah ( March 8, 2012 at 14:43 )

That burger screams ‘Eat me’.

The position of the melted cheese on the beef patty sandwiched openly between the bun looks like an opened mouth with its tongue wagging.

You guys should check our young&foodish in London. They do pop up burger monday’s and the veal burger on brioche bun (made for that night only) was too good to be true.

condimentalchic ( March 20, 2012 at 01:55 )

Huxtaburger on smith st Collingwood is by the far the best burger joint in melbourne

burgerofficianado ( May 3, 2012 at 12:02 )

Pathetic list! Who wants rock pool for a burger?? Brioche? Wagu? These are not burgers! You guys have no idea. You should get rid of this site!
P.s I’m a chef by trade. Take it from an expert

Tex ( May 12, 2012 at 23:41 )

Burgerofficinado. It seems your also a prick by trade as well.
Ps. I’m a psychologist, take if from an expert.

Nate ( June 2, 2012 at 12:23 )

I took on the advice and tried the Huxtaburger , cold Wednesday around 4 ish pm and the joint was packed , agreed this is the best burger I have tried so far .
Understand it is not about anything other than Consistency ! Value for Money ! good service ! and keeping a simple dish…… simple, fresh, and full of flavor time and time again. I think your Top 10 is totally wrong almost like you were name dropping , give the guys who stood the test of time the glory they deserve not the other tossers who even now would have changed that menu

garlicbreath ( June 4, 2012 at 12:17 )

Try burger lounge, Eltham ! It’s to die for!

Anonymous ( June 18, 2012 at 22:43 )

What about the burger at tank fish & chippery in Carlton? Juiciest wagyu pattie I have ever tasted, accompanied by caramelised onions and topped off by a brioche bun!!!! yummmmmmmmmm

Matt ( June 26, 2012 at 22:56 )

Theres a cafe on lorimer street in Port Melbounre called 14degress, I pop in there for lunch whilst working close by, I choose the burger all though there is only one on the menu its constantly changes. It was amazing everything about it was done amazing from the sweet bun to the meat patty everything was homemade including all the sauces, Ive been back several times to eat this burger its by far the best in port melbounre and i think it rivals andrews burgers in albert park here is a link to there facebook page i highly think you should try it!/pages/14-Degrees-Cafe/232263020127661
